Social Media Giveaway Official Rules
No purchase or stay necessary to enter or win. A purchase or stay will not improve your chances of winning.
1. Sponsor
The giveaway is run by Sparrow's Nest Retreat, 110 N Mount Rose Ave, Hoodsport, WA 98548 (the "Sponsor").
2. Who can enter
The giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Entry periods
There are two giveaways each year, each with its own entry period:
- Spring/Summer giveaway: January 1 through June 30. Entries must be received by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on June 30. The drawing takes place after June 30.
- Fall/Winter giveaway: July 1 through December 31. Entries must be received by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on December 31. The drawing takes place after December 31.
4. How to enter
There are two ways to enter, and both have the same chance of winning:
- Social media: during the entry period, share a public post about Sparrow's Nest Retreat on Instagram or another social media platform that tags @sparrowsnestretreat. The post must be public so the Sponsor can see it.
- Free entry by email: send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Giveaway Entry" and include your name and your social media handle or email address so we can reach you.
Limit one entry per person per entry period, no matter which method you use or how many posts you share. Entries that are incomplete, automated, or submitted in violation of these rules will not count.
5. How winners are chosen
After each entry period ends (after June 30 and after December 31), the Sponsor will randomly select one winner from all eligible entries received during that entry period. There is one winner per drawing and two drawings per year. Entries do not carry over to the next entry period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
6. How winners are notified
Winners will be contacted by direct message on the platform where they posted, or by email. A winner must reply within 14 days of being contacted. If a winner does not reply in time, is not eligible, or declines the prize, an alternate winner will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries.
7. Prize
Each winner receives one free four-night stay at Sparrow's Nest Retreat in Hoodsport, Washington, for up to 4 guests.
- Dates are subject to availability and must be booked and used within 12 months of the winner being notified.
- The prize has no cash value, is not transferable, and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
- Winners are responsible for any taxes on the prize and for their own travel, food, and other costs.
- Winners must follow the house rules and pay a security deposit if one applies to their stay.
8. Sharing winners
With a winner's permission, the Sponsor may share the winner's first name on social media.
9. Social media platforms
This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Meta, or any other social media platform. By entering, you release those platforms from any responsibility related to the giveaway. Questions about the giveaway should go to the Sponsor, not to any platform.
10. General
By entering, you agree to these rules. The Sponsor may disqualify entries that break these rules or are made dishonestly. If something outside the Sponsor's control prevents the giveaway from running as planned, the Sponsor may change or cancel it, as allowed by law. Personal information from entries is used only to run the giveaway and contact winners.
